Matthew Porteous has been elected as Vice
President for 2009-2011 and is therefore President Elect for
2011-2013 |
2009 AGM
This year's AGM was held on the
weekend of 14th-15th November 2009 at the Carden
Park Hotel. Seventy nine members and their families
attended.
There was a Black Tie dinner on
the Saturday night, with a James Bond theme including table magic
and a casino entertainment.

The Prize of £1,000 was awarded to
Dr Stefan Bajada from Keel University
and the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital,
Oswestry, for his paper entitled:
"Decreased osteogenesis,
increased cell senescence and elevated Dickkopf-1 secretion
in human non-union stromal cells"
