Fellowships

AO International offers an extensive AO Fellowship Programme for surgeons in their final years of training. Every year, more than 3000 senior trainees worldwide are given the opportunity to expand their professional experience during a 4-12 week fellowship in a hospital with close links to the AO.

On average 30-40 applicants from the UK and Ireland take advantage of this unique opportunity. The criteria encourage applications from surgeons who will actively contribute to the UK and Irish health service when they return.

AO Fellowships are also available for ORP's.

All applications are assessed by a panel of AOUK surgeons; the final decision is made by AO International.
