Dear AOUK Faculty Members
AOUK Faculty Fellowship
Bob Handley has for some time talked about the concept of a Faculty
Fellowship and at the Board of Management and at the AGM this year
we agreed on and are now launching the concept.
The idea of this is for some financial support for AOUK members
who are considering peer-to-peer visiting fellowships within the
UK. The idea is to assist with reasonable travelling expenses and
accommodation costs for a visit of between two and five days. The
only feedback that we would require would be a brief written report
from both the visiting fellow and the host centre.
We anticipate up to ten such fellowships being available each year
and if you are interested in this please contact me directly by
e-mail or through the website. The is a very exciting opportunity,
and many of us belive that type of visit is a critical part of further
professional development after consultant appointment.
